Each plinth has a 2.5mm rim so will be around 5mm larger in diameter than each base. Some sizes have been designed hollow, this serves to reduce weight and aid shipping. Bases will span this hollow section when inserted, hollow plinths are noted in the drop down menu. We recommend using sticky tac or putty to temporally hold your model in place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlastic bases can vary in size by a few millimetres depending on manufacturer, we check each casting popular production bases when cast. Paint build up on base rim will affect the fit, and may require you to adjust the rim by sanding the leading edge. Bases not included\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe finished height is approximately 45mm once machined, this height can vary plinth to plinth but I always aim to match finished heights across multiple plinths in an order. Cast in strong black pigmented resin. After casting each plinth is machine sanded to ensure the top and bottom surfaces are parallel and true. Persistent release and silicone residue will remove with spirit based fluid and an old tooth brush. Wash in water after using spirit based cleaners. If any small bubbles are present they can be filled with superglue applied from a pin tip and sanded back. Always \u003cstrong\u003ewet sand\u003c\/strong\u003e resin using fine grit wet and dry, sanding from course to fine paper to remove surface marks (240, 320, 400, 600 grit for example).
