General Update...

Posted by james taro on

So wow it's been a while since I last posted any kind of update here so here's some general updates for you all....

Having worked two jobs side by side for the past 5 or more years and with the growing success of the store I recently (august) decided to step back from my day job and focus on the store! Exciting right! I was convinced to carry on doing two days a week with my former employer which actually works really well and gives me loads more time on the store.

So with all this extra time for the store you may have noticed an increase in new products and that's only scratching the surface of what I've been designing. I have been digitising all my original hand made designs and updating my CAD repository ready for a new future for the store. With the mess that was my CAD files now all organised I am finding the design process a breeze. So expect tons of new products in the new year, esp. when all those new dexes drop!!

I am also planning and preparing my first trade stand to hopefully have at Salute 2022.... fingers crossed I get a space as I've got exciting plans for it. Having built plenty of trade stands for million dollar companies this should be a breeze....should!

With regards to EU shipping I have made the decision to continue shipping DDU (delivered duty unpaid) the solutions available for ioss are costly and time consuming and means I would have to increase prices across the board and everyone would suffer. As it stands ioss is still new and there have been plenty of issues they are still ironing out. At such point that royal mail can offer an integrated solution I will look into it again. Hopefully everyone understands the nightmare Brexit has been for all of us esp. the pressures imposed on us small businesses who don't have teams of people finding solutions.

Aside from all the additional work on the store and products I'm taking more time to enjoy my own hobby, as you may have been on Instagram. After all I started this store because of my love for this hobby and my wife will kill me if I don't start painting that room full of models.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the support you have shown this store and me over these past years. I feel truly honoured to be doing what I am and hope to keep this going for years to come. Keep an eye out for a little Christmas treat coming soon
